Eric Bignell (1953– 2007) aged 54.
Eric Bignell played for Hove during the late 1970s and early 1980s. He lived locally and joined us from Blackheath.
Upon leaving Hove he joined Sutton and Epsom. He had England Trials but I don’t believe he played for England.
It was in 1984 that he was in a serious car accident that left him paralysed from the waist down and clearly ended his rugby career.
