Founded originally in 1933 as the Sussex Yeomanry and playing in East Brighton Park - the Club retains to this day a connection with those times with the military names of its teams.

1938-1939 according to my information was the sixth season for the Yeomanry. As we now know, it was to be their last in their current guise and the last for at least 6 seasons.
