Hove started brightly with a try by Tom Le Mehaute after 5 mins, converted by Adam Phillips to take the score to 7-0. Sittingbourne replied with two penalties taking the match score to 7-6. The last play of the first half found Rupert Pratt scoring a try between the posts and Adam Phillips converting to make the H/T score 14-6.
Two minutes into the second half saw Ben Green scoring a good forwards’ try which went unconverted leaving the score at 19-6. Seven minutes from the end found Jake Goldsmith scoring a try on his debut, converted by Adam Phillips 26-6.
Three minutes later Jake scored his second try racing through from halfway and again Adam Phillips converted 33-6. The final score, literally on the final whistle was a second try of the match from Tom Le Mehaute converted by Adam Phillips making the final score 40-6 for Hove.
