Men’s 1st XV

Hmm, playing highlights for the Men’s 1st XV – can I think of any? Oh yes, we won promotion to Level 6 for the first time in our history and also won the Sussex Cup for the first time ever.

Editor’s Note: In the above calculations you will see that I don’t count the HWO (Home Walk Over) game as one that we played. In the RFU table below, they do and have us down as having played 22 league matches when, in fact, we didn’t.

For some reason, they counted it as a 0-0 win which beggars my definition of the word “win” but there you go.

Club Handbook and Programmes

This year the Club experimented with a fixture card rather than a handbook that contained the fixtures. The experiment was frowned upon by some of the VPs and it was agreed at the AGM to revert to a handbook in future.

Two cards were produced – one for the first half of the season from August to December 2009 and the second for the January to April 2010 period.
