Club Highlights
After ony 1 year as President, John Shelton passed and Brian Hill took over. The acknowledgement of Immediate Past President was introduced his year. Brian Hill also took on the mantle of being a trustee which Had beenJohn Shelton. Graham Gordon was appointed a Life Member.
Mick Cleary, C. Newhouse and M. Spencer-Smith were all elected to the Vice Presidential congregation and P.J. Bonner was no longer on the list and so presumed passed.
The following non-playing changes were made:
- D. Huyton replaced G.J.L. Gordon as Secretary
- Assistant Secretary was not listed this year
- A new role of Membership Secretary was listed. Was this a chnage of name for Assistant to focus on duties? Regardless, no name was forthcoming
- Mick Cleary replaced Peter Allen as Press Officer
- I. Acrher took over the vacant Schools Secretary role
- The Personnel Officer was not listed for the second year and so I have removed it from the list
- A. Blackburn replaced E.M. Douglas as Chairman of the Clubhouse Administration Committee
- E.M. Douglas replaced Alastair Bourne as Bar Manager
- Ray Bowyer replaced P. Hodgson as House Manager
- Giles Stone replaced Ray Nowyer as Social Secretary
- Ray Bowyer replaced Nick Baxter as Forward Planning Officer
- A new rol of Fund Raising Officers was created and R.W Griffin was assigned:The following Playing Changes were made:
- Peter Allen took over as 1s Captain from M. Cobbs
- P.T. Fryer took over as A Captain from G.L. John
- C. Brown took over from P.J. Fryer as Beefeaters Captain. Question: Are P.T Fryer and P.J. Fryer the same person?
- Rick Betts took over as B Captain once again after they weren’t listed last year
- The U19 disappeared after 1 year
- The U14 Captaincy moved from C. Newhouse to M. Spencer-Smith.
