Playing Highlights
Sadly, no actual scores again this season – just the fixtures. I do note, however, that Azurians have lost their “Old”. Maybe someone can tell us why? I must also note that now Mike Richardson has taken over the fixtures – they are much more standard rather than chopping and chaging which is an absolute bonus for someone like me who is hand copying them season after season. Well done Mike RIP.

Club Highlights
There were six new Vice Presidents elected to the congregation but with four missing – presumed passed away – so the numbers only increased by a net of two.
Elected:

- D.E. Stevens (Club Solicitor)
And the following were not on the list this year:

- A.J. Le M Lawrence
- A.L. Lucock

Only one non Playing change this year:
- A. Melchert took over as Hon. Schools Secretary from R. Crabb – reversing last years swap!
Playing changes were similarly rare with only one personnel change:
- P.M. Lewis (there seem to be an awul lot of Lewis’ about!) took over Captaincy of the 1s from Graham French
- No Vice-Captains are listed this year. I don’t know the reason. Possibly:
- A decision taken to remove VCs from the book
- A decision taken to not have VCs any more
- Couldn’t get enough people to fill the roles
I note that the numbers on some of the committees is reducing and 2 of them have only one member which really doesn’t constitute it as a committee in my humble view. The Catering and Schools committee only have one person and the Social Committee has just 2. A chat over a pint could be more beneficial perhaps.
