Playing Highlights
Looks like a pretty poor show. can’t really read the results but being as we lost 24 of the games and possibly 2 more that I couldn’t quite make out I didn’t feel too inclined to strain my eyes. As ever – if you have the info then please help.

Club Highlights
Well, first off we had new President with Jack Woolley replcing Dr. C.F. MacGuire and the latter being given an HLVP (which seems to be the norm when you step down). In addition, the handbooks acknowledge the past presidents in their own little bit before the HLVPs and the Trustees.
I didn’t notice any VPs no longer on the list this year but six were elected this year which is quite a bumper crop.

For the first time this year, the Chair of the General Committee was included inthe list of Officers. In addition, Club Captain was resurrected but still seems to be whoever is Captan of the 1s.
Other non playing changes below:
- N.H. Wright taking over from Richard Lewis as Hon. Personnel Officer.
- Several new roles have made it into the list
- Secretary of Bar Committee – G.J.L. Gordon
- House Manager – E.M. Douglas
- Bar Manager – P.J. Bonner
- Secretary Develoment Committee – G.J.C. French
The Playing side saw the following changes:
- Jeremy Cartland became Captain of the Yeomen from Mike de St Croix
- D.M.R. Grantham became Captain of the Beefeaters from B. Voyle-Morgan
- G.J. Cox became Captain of the Cadets from J.E. Root
- A. Melchert became Vice-Captain of the 1s from N.H. Wright
- M.B. Gowing became Vice-Captain of the Yeomen from R.K. Holloway
- S.D. Leney became Vice-Captain of the Beefeaters from R.J. Downes
- J.E. Root became Vice-Captain of the Cadets from S. Hales
It is worth point out that the ‘B’s were full steam ahead with no changes with Cap’n Bas at the helm and W. Balthazor propping him up (probably literally after the game!)
The grandly named House and Wine Committee is no more and the phoenix arising from these particular ashes is the more functionally named Bar Committee. From the Orient Express to British Rail perhaps? However, the Bar sub-committee has three sub sub committees (I kid you not!) which are referred to as Bar, House and Catering. I’m guessing we weren’t targeting the teetotal brigades…
